KITCHEN PREP COOK

Responsible for culinary tasks within operations in the kitchen focusing on proper preparation, set-up, and execution of food items.
Reports to Cook Supervisor and Food Service Manager
Perform many basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen.
Prepares dishes following recipe specifications as assigned by cook supervisor.
Ensures proper storage of daily deliveries and foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
Follow food safety and sanitation regulations maintaining correct temperatures cooking, cooling, and storing.
Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and thorough ongoing diligence during shift and in set-up and clean down procedures; clean designated work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:
Assists in other areas of the store as necessary.
Food Handling Certification Required (Within 6 months
Customer service experience.
Previous food experience a plus
Experience working in a demanding, face-paced, retail environment.
Communication skills – active listener and gives clear concise directions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Able to stand for extended periods of time.
