ACCOUNTING CLERK
Full-Time
Location: 2020 Oregon St.

Purpose: The Accounting Clerk will efficiently manage the accounts payable process through timely and accurate payment processing of invoices with as well as reconciling daily sales and managing deposits.
​
Reporting to: Accounting Office Manager
​
Responsibilities:
-
Receive, review and process invoices following Accounting Department procedures and company policies with promptly addressing discrepancies or issues with vendors
-
Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers through use of Accounting systems
-
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
-
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and internal departments/stakeholders to resolve invoice/billing issues
-
Ensure accurate import of store level point of sale (POS) data into Accounting systems MS Excel Spreadsheet

Record miscellaneous office deposits according to internal guidelines and time deadlines
-
Follow and maintain secure cash handling procedures following internal accounting controls maintaining checks and balances
-
Coordinate with armored car vendor/service to ensure secure and timely transport of cash bank deposits

Provide general administrative assistance to the Accounting Office Manager for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual activities and projects including maintenance of accounting documents and company records

Perform other tasks and projects, as assigned

Qualifications:
-
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Bookkeeping courses, a plus

Licenses/Certifications: n/a

Experience:
-
Entry level to intermediate experience with MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Prior experience working in a retail environment

1-2 years of accounting experience, preferred

Ability to work collaboratively within Accounting department and other departments

Pay range: $22.00- $27.00 per hour
