Location: 920 Heinz Ave

Purpose:  To ensure that daily sales and product movement are optimal; to ensure maximum customer satisfaction through fresh, quality, and diverse product offerings and quality customer service; to develop and maintain employee compliance and optimal productivity; to create a department culture that values teamwork, is respectful to all personnel, and is responsive to the objectives of the company.


Status: Reports to Dairy Manager.


  • Maximize sales

  • Set daily goals, and methods of achieving the daily goals

  • Effectively manage the department employees; align daily objectives and efforts with overall company objectives

  • Daily Inventory and  Daily repurchasing

  • Ensure the efficient operation of Dairy department

  • Receiving

  • Invoice verification

  • Merchandising

  • Warehouse quality control

  • Documentation of credits

  • Enforcing safety procedures and store policy

  • Department inventory (quarterly)

  • Adding new items to the system and pricing new items.

  • Set TPR (temporary price reduction)

  • Transfer product to Main Store

  • Documentation of products transfer to Main store

  • Transfer product to Cafe, and Deli

  • Product placement on shelves

  • Answering customers requests, comments, and suggestions

  • Negotiate pricing with Vendors

  • Arranging Demos

  • Weekly Price Check (products are priced at the proper margin)

  • Updating order numbers and codes

  • Weekly maintains (cleaning) (Warehouse, Shelves, Inside the Cooler, Outside the Cooler, & Drain Pipes)

  • Replacing missing shelve tags

  • Build relationship with vendors

  • Discover new products to maximum the selections in the department and dairy alternatives.

  • Effectively manage the department employees; align daily objectives and efforts with overall company objectives

  • Assist Dairy Manager in conducting employee performance evaluations/reviews, provide feedback to employees on performance, and complete and submit all related paperwork/forms to the dept manager.



  • Ability to project friendly, outgoing personality.

  • Ability to lead a team and work as positive member of the team.

  • Ability to handle multiple demands.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Basic math skills required.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay range: $22.00 - $27.50 per hour
