Purpose:
To provide prompt, friendly, helpful, well-informed service to customers and assist in operations of natural foods deli to help meet department goals.
Status:
Reports to Kitchen/Deli Management team.

Responsibilities:
-
Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter customers by answering questions, making recommendations, providing samples, and responding to requests.

Recommending, slicing, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats.

Preparing special orders and party trays and catering
-
Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.

Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash, and confirming that tools are in working order.

Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.

Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction.

Confirming that all displays, products, and services comply with company standards.
Non-Essential Job Functions and Tasks:

Assist in other areas of the store/department as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
-
Food Safety Certification required (within 90 days of initial employment).
Experience:
-
Foodservice experience and customer service experience desired.
Knowledge/Skills:
-
Basic math skills required.
Other:
-
Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.
-
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Must be over 18 to operate equipment.

Pay range: $18.50 - $26.50 per hour
