KITCHEN RECEIVING CLERK

Location:

920 Heinz Ave 

 

Purpose:  To process designated orders and to maintain organization of products received.  To ensure the accuracy and accountability of receiving paperwork, and security of inventory.  Provide support to the Receiving Manager and Food Service Manager.
 

Status:  Reports to Food Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare storage areas for incoming deliveries.

  2. Check deliveries to verify piece count, catch damage and unacceptable quality. Notify Manager of discrepancies or problems.

  3. Unload deliveries, while organizing and maintaining storage and walk-ins.

  4. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including security standards for vendors and the receiving area.        

  5. Coordinate returns, ensuring that returned items get back to appropriate suppliers in a timely manner.

  6. Maintain the warehouse and all storage areas in a clean and safe condition.

  7. Follow the proper opening procedure for the receiving department.

Qualifications:

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Able to handle multiple demands and work at a fast, steady pace.

  • Ability to work as a positive team member.

  • Able to perform basic math functions accurately. Basic computer skills are helpful.

  • Good communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 to operate a pallet jack and other equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously.

  • Ability to stand long periods of time.

  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.

  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
